Deciding fate of football season should not be rushed - Medeama's Kwasi Donsu

Midfielder of Medeama Sporting Club, Kwasi Donsu wants the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to take a critical look at the country's situation before deciding the fate of the football season.

There have been no football activities in the country since March as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis which is affecting almost every country in the world.

Just last Sunday, the possibility of the sport making a return was watered down after the government announced that the ban on football has been extended to July 31.

In line with that, there are calls for the Ghana FA to consider canceling the 2019/2020 football season even though there are others who believe it can still be completed.

Giving his take on the matter in an interview with Akoma FM, Kwasi Donsu has indicated that there must be a broader consultation before the fate of the season is decided.

“We must look at our situation and decide the best way to go before canceling or continuing the league”, the Medeama talisman said.

Meanwhile, the GFA is expected to take a final decision on the season at the end of this month.
