Defender Michael Akoto provides assist in Dresden's win against Oldenburg

Ghanaian defender Michael Akoto provided an assist in Dynamo Dresden's 3-1 victory against VfB Oldenburg on Sunday in the German second tier.

VfB Oldenburg scored the game's first goal in the 17th minute. From a half-right position, Christopher Buchtmann fired the ball beneath the crossbar.

Dynamo demonstrated a different mentality and gradually gained control. After a cross from Michael Akoto, it was Ahmet Arslan who equalized in the 64th minute, shooting the ball in from roughly 10 meters away.

In the 71st minute, Dennis Borkowski completed a brilliant counterattack via Drljaca to make it 2-1.

The VfB defense was unable to clear a cross from Kutschke, resulting in the ball landing just in front of Arslan's feet. The offensive midfielder did not hesitate to strike the ball.

Michael Akoto was substituted in the 90+2 minute. The black and yellow travel to Munich on Monday, January 30, 2023. They will face TSV1860 München at the Stad. a. d. Grünwalder Str.
