Defender Mohammed Salisu set to play for Ghana at 2022 FIFA World Cup after this revelation

Southampton defender, Mohammed Salisu is set to play for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup following a hint in the latest post on the Facebook page of Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku.

The GFA in the past year has been chasing the Ghanaian to agree to represent the national team despite his concerns about how things are done in the national team.

After a meeting between Kurt Okraku and Mohammed Salisu, it now appears the GFA president has convinced the England-based centre-back.

A post on the Facebook page of the FA President reads, “Great seeing you with that big smile...Proud son of the land who is proud to give back what football has given him.

“Ready to serve and looking forward to our common future with all the positive energy in you. God bless our homeland Ghana and make our nation great and strong.”

After that post, it has become clear that something positive came out of the meeting between the two.

Salisu is currently in Ghana for the summer holidays.
