"I had a conversation with the minister last week Tuesday on preparations for the tourney so it was quite surprising to hear Hon. Vincent Oppong Asamoah deny knowledge of the tournament”. Asante remarked

Asante also disclosed that the team’s request to have pre-tournament camping could not be granted due to lack of funds from the sports ministry but remain adamant that the ladies will make Ghana proud.

” We planned of camping in Dubai or Saudi Arabia but due to unavailability of funds the plan couldn’t come to fruition”

The team arrived in Amman, Jordan on Wednesday to begin preparations for the tournament which is scheduled to start on the 30th of September and finish on the 21st of the following month.
