The center-back was handed a starting role on Thursday night and repaid his manager by playing his heart out throughout the 90 minutes he lasted on the pitch.

The 24-year old netted the winning goal for his side on the 56th minute to inspire them to a deserved away win against Royal Mouscron.

In a post-match interview, Luckassen who was excited with the victory noted that it’s a relief for the team following a run of bad form in the Belgian Pro League.

“This was an important 'pot' for us. The cup is the fastest way to European football, the relief is great”, the on-loan defender said.
