Derrick Owusu resigns as Kotoko physical trainer

Derrick Owusu, the physical trainer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has resigned from his role with immediate effect after head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin left the club.

Owusu, who joined the Porcupine Warriors when coach Paa Kwesi Fabin assumed his duty at the club handed in his resignation on Friday.

It is believed Owusu's relationship with Fabin forced him to leave the club since his boss is no longer at the club.

Public Relations Officer of the club, Lawyer Sarfo Duku has confirmed Owusu's resignation.

“Derick Owusu has resigned from his role as a physical trainer alongside Paa Kwesi Fabin. He, Owusu,  handed us his letter of resignation on Friday.” Communication director Sarfo Duku said on Metro FM.

Meanwhile, Paa Kwesi Fabin is reported to be joining newly promoted National First Division (NFD) outfit Maccabi FC in South Africa.

Derrick Owusu is likely to join his boss in South Africa in the coming weeks.
