Montreal Impact top attacker, Dominic Oduro has affirmed his willingness to play for the Black Stars again. The Black Stars possesses one of the most fearsome attacking line-up in world football, but with the fitness of leading striker and captain, Asamoah Gyan and Akwesi Appiah in question, and lack of goal scoring form of top strikers like Abdul Majeed Waris and Jordan Ayew at their various clubs, football enthusiast believes the time has come to beef up the team with fresh faces and more especially with players who are making strides with their clubs.

And Oduro, who plays for Canadian Club Montreal Impact has been itching to add to his one-cap for the Black Stars following his magnificent performances in the Major League Soccer (MLS), believes he is ever ready to represent the country again when called upon because it’s his childhood dream play for the country in whichever level.

“I think it’s a dream of every footballer to represent their country and I’m no different. I’m always ready to play for the Black Stars anytime I’m being called-up, and with the strikers Ghana has in the team, makes it tough for any player to walk in straight into the starting line-up, however with no disrespect to any of them I believe in my capabilities,” the 31-year old told Reuben Obodai of Happy FM.

“However, if I get that call-up, I’ll continue with the good work I’ve been doing in my club. And I know there’re many players in Ghana with the same ambition, and what I know from my previous call-up is that when you least expect it that’s where it comes it because even if you’re in hole and your time comes for you to be invited, you’ll definitely be called,” the pacy attacker declared.

Dominic Oduro’s sole game for the Black Stars came in the friendly draw against Chile in 2012.
