Don Bortey warns Kotoko, AshantiGold ahead of CAF inter- club competitions

Former Ghana and Hearts of Oak winger Bernard Don Bortey has cautioned AshantiGold and Asante Kotoko ahead of their CAF inter-club competitions which commence next month.

Bortey says playing in Africa is very difficult and has urged both teams to prepare adequately for the challenge.

Asante Kotoko are the only Ghanaian club representing in the Champions League while Ashantigold will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup. The Porcupine Warriors will set off their campaign against Kano Pillars from Nigeria on the August 10.

The Miners will also face Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea in the first preliminary round.

Speaking on Nice TV, Don Bortey adviced both clubs to take their preparations seriously.

“Playing in Africa is too hard and difficult both Kotoko and Ashgold should very be prepared well for the tournament,” he stated.
