Done Deal: Ghanaian striker Francis Afriyie joins Botswanan top-flight side Township Rollers

Footballghana.com can confirm that Ghanaian international Francis Afriyie has completed his transfer to Botswanan Premier League side Township Rollers.

The hardworking striker has joined the club from Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia where he had impressed in the past season.

The 24-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract that will see him stay with the club until the winter of 2022.

Francis Afriyie, a formal player of Bechem United will be hoping he excels in the ongoing top-flight league season in Botswana.

A club statement from Township Rollers read: “Township Rollers Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Ghana-born forward Francis Afriyie”.

It added. “The 24-year-old, who turns 25 on January 18 joins the Blues from current Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia on a two and a half year contract”.

The Ghanaian is tipped to succeed at his new club with his experience gathered after playing for Serbian side Vojvodina and North America for Mexican side Murcielagos expected to come to bear.
