Borussia Dortmund have bolstered their squad for the purpose of trying to win the Bundesliga title next season, snapping up Julian Brandt, Nico Shulz and Thorgan Hazard.

Germany international midfielder Brandt, 23, arrives from Bayer Leverkusen, having signed a five-year contract with the Die Schwarzgelben.

BVB came extremely close to winning the title this season, so there's room for improvement.

Julian Brandt

He helped Leverkusen qualify for the Champions League this season, but believes the time is right to move on and experience a new challenge.

Brandt told his new club's official website: "I would like to continue my personal development, that's one of the main reasons for my transfer. BVB came extremely close to winning the title this season, so there's room for improvement."

Another Germany international, the versatile 26-year-old Schulz, has penned a five-year deal to seal his move from Hoffenheim and he is also looking forward to a change of scenery.

He added: "Dortmund are a top club whose team play a brand of football that is a good fit for me and my style.

"I believe that I'll be able to help the team with the way I play. Together, we can achieve great things."

Dortmund's triple swoop is completed by the addition of Belgium forward Hazard, who joins from Borussia Monchengladbach, having also put pen to paper on a five-year contract.

The 26-year-old scored 46 goals in 183 appearances in all competitions for Monchengladbach, having spent the last five seasons at Borussia-Park.
