Dr. K.K Sarpong is emphatically not interested in GFA presidency

Former Asante Kotoko Chairman, Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong, has stated emphatically his lack of interest in contesting for the vacant position of Ghana FA president.

The position has been tipped to be contested by  a lot of football Guru's who served under the Kwasi Nyantakyi administration and it includes former vice president of the Ghana FA, Mr. George Afriyie, Winfred Osei Parma, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Kurt Okraku and Fred Pappoe and the others.

In an interview with Accra-based Asempa FM, the Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC)  said,

"I can tell you emphatically that I’m not interested in GFA presidency and I can never be interested. I can assist in other ways but not as the president,”

"Football people should have a good heart and be objective going forward,”

Former vice President of the Ghana FA, Mr. George Afriyie, Winfred Osei Parma, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Kurt Okraku and Fred Pappoe have all been tipped to contest for the to seat after this month’s congress.

Dr. K. K. Sarpong served as the Chairman of the Black Stars management committee ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt this June.
