Dr Kyei has my support to make our club big again: Otumfuo

Owner  and life patron of Asante Kotoko Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is backing management chairman Dr Kwame Kyei to make the club big again.

Dr Kyei who was handed the opportunity to handle Kotoko last year in his first season won the FA Cup after thrashing Hearts of Oak 3-1.

Otumfuo who met the playing body and the technical team at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday noted that he is not going to take the team from Dr Kwame Kyei.

“When i’m about to give the team to Dr. Kwame Kyei i asked him whether he can find time to managed Kotoko and he said yes, i asked him about his financial status and he said he will not come for money from me and God willing i gave the team to him and he has come to show the FA Cup to me.

“I’m hearing people are trying to interfere in his job, i have heard it but i will not change him today or tomorrow. People will be talking a lot on radio and they will mount pressure on me to change him but i don’t know nothing about football if not because of the throne i have no knowledge in football,” Otumfuo said when the team visited him on Wednesday ta the Manhyia Palace to present the MTN FA Cup trophy to him.
