Asante Kotoko striker, Saddick Adams reiterated that the pledges made to the playing body ahead of the CARA clash in the first league of the CAF Confederations Cup in the preliminary round at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday did not affect them.

After failing to take their chances, the former Berekum Chelsea goal poacher has insisted that they were not carried away by the promises made to them by the executive chairman of the club.
"We wanted to win and win massively for Ghana and the supporters, but unfortunately things didn't go the way we expected,” he told Metro FM.
"It wasn't an easy match but since we now know how their style of play is, our next game won't be all that hard for us.
"We wanted to win, and by God's Grace we won; the promises didn't affect us in the game. The promises are to reach the money zone, not just one match, so there wasn't any pressure from the promises.
"Missing penalties is normal; it happens in football, and it is part of the game. Yes, we can qualify. Everything can happen in football. We can play better than what they did here in Kumasi. We can win and qualify.
"I was OK with my performance yesterday,” he added.
