Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum appointed WAFA SC new head coach

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has been appointed as the new coach of Ghana Premier League side WAFA SC ahead of the start on the upcoming season over the weekend.

Ogum is expected to be in the dugout when the Academy Boys travel to Akoon Community Park in Tarkwa to play Karela United FC in their season opener on Sunday.

A club statement on Boxing Day read: ''#WAFAcademy-We present to you our new head coach for the First Team.  [Dr.] Prosper Narteh Ogum takes charge for the upcoming season. We wish him all the best.''

The 41-year-old has a CAF License A coaching certificate in the country and has previously worked with Ebusua Dwarfs in the Premier League on a short stint in 2016.

Narteh also helped mastermind the qualification of Elmina Sharks to the Division One League in 2013.

He currently lectures at University of Cape Coast's Department Of Health, Physical Education & Recreation (HPER).
