Dreams FC General Manager Ameenu Shardow rates Kurt Okraku high after a year in office

Newly appointed General Manager of Dreams FC, Ameenu Shardow says he is impressed with the performance of Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku after a year in office.

Exactly a year ago, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Still Believe lads was elected as the new president to lead the nation’s football governing body after beating competition from George Afriyie.

There has been a divided opinion with regards to the performance of the GFA capo in his one year in office. Some Ghanaians believes he has lived up to the billing whereas others think otherwise.

But according to Ameenu Shardow in an interview with Kumasi based Wontumi FM claims Kurt Okraku is the right man for the job and has rated him high after a year tenure in office.

“Looking at the level of our football, we needed such a dynamic person to try and see how we can stir ourselves into the next generation. I have worked with Kurt Okraku at Dreams FC for five years so I knew what he was capable of doing. In football circles we are brothers, we know ourselves and that we fairly knew the capabilities of the aspirants. After assessing them, I was firm Kurt was the man we needed at the time” he said.

“As human institution there may be mistakes. When he started things was not stable but it was normal because there were a lot of pressure but over time we have all come to realize that when he gives him the needed support he will excel’

“After a year in office, out of 100%, I will give him 85% honestly. I am of the firm believe that by the end of his first term of office everyone will agree they made the right choice by handling the leadership of the Ghana FA to him”
