Ex-Black stars goalkeeper Abukari Damba has revealed his intentions of taking up a role with the Black Stars as a goalkeeper’s trainer.

Damba who is currently on a contract with Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC, once worked with the national U-23 team as the goalkeepers trainer in 2007 but was asked to step down due to corruption allegations.

“Very soon I will join the Black Stars. I am always available and anytime I am called upon to serve, I will openly do so.” He told happy fm.

In his playing days, Abukari played for Real Tamale United in Ghana, and also in Malaysia with Perak FA. The 48 year old also capped for Ghana and was selected as a reserve goalkeeper for the 1992 African Cup of Nations finals.
