Dreams FC youngster Cletus Nombil fails AIK trials

Dreams FC midfielder Cletus Nombil have failed to secure a move to Swedish top-flight club AIK after unsuccessful trails according to Kickgh.com sources.

The 18-year-old earned an invitation from the 2018 Swedish Champions following his impressive performance at Dreams FC last month and was expected to sign a contract with them after undergoing the trial.

However, Nombil failed to impress the technical handlers of the Friends Arena outfit after a couple of weeks.

The former Tudu Mighty Jets star was part of the AIK squad that traveled to UAE for preseason where he featured in their game with MLS side New York City FC.

He has returned to his parent club after unsuccessful trail at the 2018 Swedish League champions.

The highly-rated youngster joined Dawu based side prior to the start of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season from Division One League side Tudu Mighty Jets.

Last year, his loan move with an option of buying to Czech top-flight club Sparta Prague was called off due to visa problems.

AIK already boost of a Ghanaian player in Enoch Adu Kofi who played an integral role in their 2018 Swedish League triumph in their squad.

He has been handed just one call-up to the Black Materors of Ghana.
