Dreams FC's Abdul Fatawu Issahaku wins Discovery of the year at SWAG Awards

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was named 2021 Discovery of the Year at the 46th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards.

After guiding the Black Satellites to victory in the Africa Youth Championship earlier this year in Mauritania, the dynamic midfielder from the skipper of the Black Starlets was voted the Most Valuable Player.

He has since played for both the domestic and senior national teams, including for the Black Stars in the current 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifications, in which they have advanced to the playoff and final round.

Fatawu Issahaku currently plays for Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC and has scored six goals in six games this season.

Issahaku also has two man of the match awards in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
