Ghana sensation Mohammed Kudus climbed off the Ajax bench to star for the team on Wednesday night when they defeated SC Heerenveen 3-0 in the Dutch KNVB Cup.

The two clubs locked horns at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on the night to fight for a win in the semi-finals of the Dutch domestic cup competition in hopes of reaching the final.

Having missed out on a starting role, Mohammed Kudus was introduced into the game later in the second half.

He replaced the veteran Davy Klaassen at a time Ajax had taken a one-goal lead already from the first half.

Just three minutes after coming home, his team was awarded a penalty kick with captain Dusan Tadic stepping up to convert.

Later on, a David Neres equalizer sealed what will eventually end as a 3-0 win for Ajax against Heerenveen.

On the matchday, Mohammed Kudus glittered in the 30 minutes he played and looked in good shape.

He could soon hit top form to merit starting roles in the Ajax team.
