Dutch sports journalist, Johan Derksen has indicated that he does not see AZ Alkmaar goal monger Myron Boadu as an ideal striker to play for Ajax Amsterdam.
The young forward impressed in the 2019/2020 Dutch Eredivisie campaign where he made an incredible number of goal contributions to help his team finish second on the standings of the division at the time the campaign was canceled as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Although he has not been in good form this season, Myron Boadu continues to be linked with a possible move to Ajax.
For former Dutch footballer now turned journalist Johan Derksen, it will not be ideal for Ajax to sight the AZ Alkmaar talisman.
He explains, “Ajax almost always plays in a small space. At Ajax you have to have a certain striker who can play in a small space, because everyone has their backs to the wall. We quickly find someone who is very talented.”
Johan Derksen is backed by Van der Gijp who also believes that despite the quality of Myron Boadu he does not fit the profile of Ajax.
“He is strong, fast and can score, but technically he is too limited,” he noted.
