Dynamo Dresden Fined & Handed Partial Stadium Closure After Severed Bull's Head Thrown Onto Pitch

When it comes to football clubs in Germany, it seems that many have the right attitude towards, well, everything that's good with the game.


Ticket prices are a fraction of the cost of most other European big leagues, and the atmospheres generated at stadia across Bavaria are often 10 times better than those seen in England.


When hooliganism comes into play, however, one German side appears to be head and shoulders above all others. Bundesliga. 2 club Dynamo Dresden, we're looking at you.

The German Football Association (DFB) recently fined Dynamo £54k and have forced the club to close one of the stands at their home ground after their home supporters threw a severed bull's head onto the pitch during a German Cup clash with local rivals Red Bull Leipzig back in August.


Unsurprisingly, throwing a decapitated bull's head on to the field of play, against a side whose nickname is 'The Bulls', did not go down very well with law enforcers in Germany. Neither did the unfurling of insulting banners. Nor did hitting one of Leipzig's players with a coin thrown from the stand either.

This is not the first time that Dynamo have been sanctioned for crowd behaviour too, with fans fighting with police during a match against Borussia Dortmund in November 2011 among other incidents.


And yet they seemed so pleasant during the pre-season Dresden Cup tournament...
