Nana Budu, aspiring Eastern Regional Football Association (RFA) chairman has debunked reports suggesting that he has resorted to vote-buying to ensure he wins the upcoming Ghana Football Association (GFA) elections.

With the election day just around the corner, Nana Budu is facing strong competition from Linford Asamoah Boadu who has been tipped to eventually come out victorious.

Reports in Eastern Region earlier this week has alleged that Nana Budu is trying to buy votes of the delegates with some quoting him of paying a sum of GH¢300 to each delegate.

Reacting to the claims on Bryt FM, the astute football administrator has urged all and sundry to disregard the report because it is mere fallacy.

“Vote buying is not my campaign style. Paying money to delegates to tilt votes is not my priority. So disregard it”.

“I have not called any delegate and promised money. It’s a fallacy reportage, so, going forward some journalists must get their facts right”, he explained.

Nana Budu added, “The media house was just being sensational and wanted to pull traffic onto its platform. I believe the false reportage is absolutely propaganda from some people”.

He further urged all delegates to make sure they voted for the best candidate on the day of the election which has been slated for Friday, October 18, 2019, at Koforidua.
