Ebusua Dwarfs appoint Ernest Thompson as new head coach

Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs has appointed Ernest Thomas Quartey as their new head coach ahead of Match Week 5 of the ongoing campaign.

The Cape Coast-based club started the 2019/2020 season with Raymond Robert Essibu as their head coach. The team under the leadership of the experienced coach failed to pick up a point after four matches, leaving them at the bottom of the standings.

Following a 2-1 loss to Liberty Professionals at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, coach Essibu announced that he has resigned from his post. According to him, he was forced to take the decision because of physical and spiritual attacks from the supporters of the club.

A dater later, the club has named Ernest Thompson Quartey as their new head coach. He is expected to prepare the Crabs for their upcoming matches against Kumasi Asante Kotoko this weekend.
