Orlando Pirates' man-of-the-match Edwin Gyimah had some praise for the club's supporters after their goalless draw with Maritzburg United.

The Buccaneers had a poor first half against United on Saturday but came out stronger in the second half to create a number of chances. However, they were still unable to score and had to accept a goalless draw.

The defender said after the game: "We know what they came here for and I think they are struggling in the position that they are. I think they did well, but we didn't take our chances.

"We had a talk at half-time and came back in high spirits. We knew they would come and their striker Rusike is very dangerous. They did very well. The way they played, we were suppose to play in that way. They had a lot of the ball and we defended a lot."

When asked about how the fans shouted his name during the clash, Gyimah responded: "It keeps you going. You need to be appreciated, especially when you work hard. What matters is working hard all the time."
