Former Hearts of Oak manager, Kim Grant has shared his delight for Kofi Kordzi after the striker opened his goal-scoring account for Muaither SC in the Qatar Second Division.
After spending just one season with Hearts of Oak after he was signed by coach Kim Grant, the forward has had the chance to move to Qatar to continue his career.
Marking his debut for his new club on Thursday evening, Kofi Kordzi found the back of the net to help Muaither SC earn a 2-2 draw against Al-Shahania.
In a post on Twitter after the match, Coach Kim Grant has applauded Kofi Kordzi for proving doubters wrong while indicating how proud he is of the ex-Hearts marksman.
“Kofi Kordzi, Proud of you Bro, I remember when I signed you from an amateur 3rd Division club, people were critical saying you can't run, you're overweight, after 7 months at the club, you've got transferred and moved to another level. You've proved doubters wrong”, Kim Grant’s post reads.
With his first goal at the club, Kofi Kordzi is expected to boom with confidence ahead of subsequent matches.
