Elmina Sharks owner Dr.Papa Kwesi Nduom rewards players after Premier League qualification

Owner and President of Elmina Sharks Dr.Papa Kwesi Nduom has rewarded each player of the club with an amount of GHC1,000.00 each for sealing qualification to next season’s Ghana premier league.

The Flag bearer of Progressive Peoples Party announced the package to the players after their last home game against Nzema Kotoko at the Nduom Stadium on Sunday.

Sharks who had already qualified ahead of the game drew 1-1.

Nzema Kotoko opened scoring in the 29th minute through Ebenezer Mensah’s converted shot from Left back.

But that goal was cancelled in the 81st minute after Eric Osei converted from the spot kick.

Dr.Nduom after the game presented a silver cup to his side for emerging as winners in the GN Bank Division One League Zone Two.

Sharks have secured 66 points, 10 more than second placed Karela, with the last round of matches in the zone yet to be played.

Elmina Sharks will be making its first appearance in the Ghanaian top flight league where they could join Ebusua Dwarfs as the second club from the central region in the 2016/17 GPL.
