Ghana international Emmanuel Boateng made his long-awaited Dalian Yifang debut in their 1-1 stalemate against Henan Jianye in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

The 22-year-old striker put up an incredible performance as Dalian Yifang managed to hold Henan Jianye to a draw at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium in a keenly contested game.

Henrique Dourado gave Dalian Yifang the lead on the 27th minute of the game but former Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco snatched the equaliser for Dalian Yifang in the dying embers of the match.

Boateng lasted for the entire duration of the game with an impressive performance.

He joined Chinese Super League club from Spanish side Levante last month for an undisclosed fee.

Despite famously scoring a hat-trick against Barcelona in a 5-4 home victory last season to break the unbeaten run of the Catalan giants, he has struggled for form this season scoring just once in 16 La Liga appearances, including seven starts.

He made a total of 50 appearances across La Liga and the Copa del Rey for Levante, netting eight goals in his one-and-half seasons with the Valencia-based club.
