The new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Obuasi Ashantigold, Emmanuel Frimpong has stressed that he is prepared to work in that capacity to bring success to the club.
At age 27, the son of business mogul Dr. Kwaku Frimpong is the youngest club CEO in the Ghanaian top-flight league.
Though many doubt his expeience in the game, he has revealed that he has learned a lot from former Miners CEO Frederick Acheampong as well as his father and hence can do the job.
"I wouldn't say it's my first shot, and I wouldn't say I have no experience because as soon as Dr. Frimpong took over the team, that's about two and a half years and I have been behind the scenes for like two years now”, Emmanuel Frimpong said in an interview on GTV’s Beyond the Pitch program
He continued, “And I was working under Fredrick Acheampong, that is the previous C.E.O and with me working under him, I kind of learn a lot from him. He is a good big brother to me,"
“I learnt a couple of things from my Dad as well, a good businessman as we all know, Dr. Kweku Frimpong, so with that I gained a lot of experience in the football field”
