Empem Dacosta delighted to join Ashanti Gold SC

Former Asante Kotoko defender Empem Dacosta has expressed his excitement after joining regional rivals Ashanti Gold SC in the on-going tramsfer window.

The 22-year-old penned a three-year deal with the Miners as a free agent.

He recently parted ways with Asante Kotoko after the head coach for the team, Maxwell Konadu declared him surplus to requirement

"I am very happy to join the Miners because it a big club with great achievements and I feel at home after inking pen to paper", he told SPORTSworldGhana

"My target is to help qualify the team to money zone and also work hard to show my talent and please the supporters of the club."

Ashanti Gold SC have already signed Hans Kwofie, Yaw Annor, Nathaniel Asamoah, Boadu Dacosta, Michael Enu, Stephen Bentil and Matthew Agama.

Also, Burkina Faso goalkeeper Aboubacar Sawadogo has been acquired to strengthen their goalkeeping department.

Ashgold are currently preparing for a 2020/2021 football season where they will be playing in the CAF Confederations Cup while competing for glory on the local scene as well.

Dacosta joined the Porcupine Warriors in July 2019 from Karela United FC after playing a key role in his side's promotion to the Ghana Premier League in 2017.
