Ghana and Chelsea legend Michael Essien who on Monday August 8, 2016 started a new career in football as a pundit says he is in love with the new occupation. The former Ghana international made his punditry debut during the Saudi Super Cup between Al Ahli and Al Hilal played in London.

Essien joined the panel on set for Saudi-based MBC Sports in a makeshift studio built at Craven Cottage for the game which saw Al Ahli claim the 2016 Saudi Super Cup with a 4-3 penalty shootout win after a 1-1 draw with Al Hilal.

The night saw several fans travel from Saudi Arabia to join many others living in the UK to watch the game amounting to a crowd of over 16,000 in attendance.

Michael Essien took to twitter to show appreciation to MBC Pro Sports for the invite and how he enjoyed the role given him.
