Ghanaian international Enock Kwateng has stressed that he has no regrets leaving FC Nates to join Girondins de Bordeaux last summer.
The young full-back ended his stay with the Canaries last year during the summer transfer window as he switched camps to French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux on a free transfer.
In a recent interview, Kwateng has noted that he has no regrets for joining the Navy-Blue and White side.
"If I regret leaving Nantes? No, it's the opposite. I had the label of youth of the training center, I wanted to see something else. I want to play every game, I have ambition”, the 23-year-old said.
He added, “I had several requests but Bordeaux was the best option for me. It is a large French club. I feel like I've been here for two or three years […] Bordeaux is a very beautiful city. I spent seven years in Nantes, I was fine there but I prefer Bordeaux. For example, Sunday lives here. There are many places, monuments to visit, activities to do, good restaurants.
“I slept at the hotel for two months at first, so I had a different restaurant each night. There are many very good ones. I have a list but I keep it for myself (laughs).”
In his first season at Girondins de Bordeaux, Enock Kwateng has had a decent campaign and is hoping to finish off the 2019/2020 season on a good note.
