Eric Ofori-Antwi: Medeama SC goalie ready to get back on the pitch if GFA decides for season to resume

Published on: 12 May 2020

The first-choice goalkeeper for Medeama Sporting Club, Eric Ofori-Antwi has revealed his readiness to get back on the pitch should the Ghana Football Association (GFA) decide for the League season to continue.

The 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season has been suspended for the last couple of months due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis in the country.

With the increasing number of confirmed cases, there is no certainty as to when the campaign will be safe to return. While the GFA continues engagement with relevant stakeholders, Eric Ofori-Antwi says he is always ready to play whenever the authorities give the green light.

"Truncation of the league depends on the authorities if they call us to play, why not?. We are ready", the highly-rated shot-stopper said.

The goalkeeper was an exception for Medeama SC before the league campaign was suspended and hopes to continue in the same form when the season resumes.
