Black Stars midfield kingpin, Ernestina Abambilla has helped Swedish side Assi IF lift their first silverware of the 2019/2020 season.
The club locked horns with Infjärden SK on Tuesday to challenge for the Stora Norrbotten's COOP Cup.
Assi IF reigned supreme and posted a 2-0 win over their opponent to ensure the lifted the trophy.
Ernestina Abambilla was included in the starting eleven of her side and impressed throughout the 70 minutes she stayed on the pitch before making way for Linnea Engström.
Goals from Rebekah O'Brien and Christy Ucheibe on the 12th and 52nd minute were enough to hand Assi IF the win on the day.
Ernest Abambilla is now expected to set sight on the Swedish Women’s League which will start in the first week of September. Assi IF will start off their season against Asarum on Saturday, September 8, 2019.
