Esso delighted with WAFU experience

Black Stars B striker Joseph Esso is delighted to play in the WAFU 2019 Cup of Nations tournament.

The Hearts of Oak striker had his first opportunity to feature in a major tournament with the National team.

Esso recorded two goals for Ghana making him one of the nation’s most outstanding players in this year’s competition.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs attacker is looking forward to build on the experience gained in Senegal.

“As an upcoming player, getting to play in my first international tournament says a lot. It will improve me and it will enhance my career going forward,” he told ESPN Africa.

“I look at the team and I can say that we gave off our best during the competition.”

Coach Maxwell Konadu can boost of a good attack with the 23-year-old in the return leg of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifier against Burkina Faso, a game the Black Stars must win to qualify for the competition in Cameroon. Ghana lost 1-0 at home in the first leg match.
