Black Stars midfielder Alfred Duncan played a key role in Sassuolo’s 3-0 win over Swiss Super League side Luzern in the Europa League play-offs.
The Italian serie A side secured a 4-1 aggregate score line to secure a place in the group stages of the 2016/2017 Europa League competition.
Ghana’s Alfred Duncan played the entire 90 minutes in midfield for the Italian side. A brace from Domenico Berardi and a goal from Gregoire Defrel ensure Sassuolo moved on to compete for the ultimate in the competition proper.
The play-off draw will be held on Friday morning.
