Everton launching bid for Arsenal defender Calum Chambers

Everton are launching a bid for Arsenal defender Calum Chambers.

Everton see the England international as an alternative to Burnley's Michael Keane.

The Daily Mail says a fee of around £15 million will be enough for Arsenal to part with the 22-year-old centre-back who only has two years remaining on his current contract.

Chambers has spent the past season on loan at Middlesbrough and while Arsenal would prefer him to gain experience elsewhere on a temporary basis again they will not stand in the way of him moving to a club for regular first-team football.
