Everton attacker Aiden McGeady has admitted that he is keen on earning a permanent move to Preston North End.
Aiden McGeady enjoyed a wonderful campaign during his season long loan at Preston North End this term and as a measure of his fine performances, the 31-year-old recently lifted the club's player of the year award.
With McGeady clearly surplus to requirements at Everton, Preston are planning to sign him permanently over the summer and as a huge boost to the Lilywhites' chances, the winger himself has admitted that he is keen on a return back to Deepdale next season.
McGeady told the Lancashire Post: "I've said it before, I would like to stay here. Ultimately, I'm probably not going to have the final say but I'm in a strong position with Everton because I know they don't want me. Whether it is going to be another loan or Everton want to sell me, I don't really know.
"I will probably find that out in the summer. I would like to come back to Preston – if it was between here and another team who were going to pay me slightly more money, I would rather come here. I know the set-up, I know the lads and manager."
