After going down in the second half, Bolasie initially tried to play on, but ended up limping off the pitch just minutes later and it sadly looks like the winger is set to miss the rest of the season with damage to thecruciate ligament, which as we all know, takes six to nine months to recover from after surgery.

Terrible news for Yannick Bolasie. Season over after scans to injury sustained against Man United confirmed cruciate ligament damage.

Everton and Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw on the day, with a controversial late penalty helping secure a point for the Toffees, coming back from 1-0 down.

The DR Congo international joined Everton from Crystal Palace for a reported £25m in the summer and has made 14 appearances this season, scoring once and assisting three.
