The 24-year-old central defender recovered from a groin injury to make his AS Monaco debut as they won 2-1 against Stade Rennes on Saturday.

It was his first game in nearly nine months when he featured for Southampton in a 3-3 draw against Tottenham in March 2023.

Speaking after the game, Salisu was thrilled to be making his return from injury.
