Former Black Stars player Anthony Baffoe believes the new technical team of the Black Stars will succeed in getting Ghana to its glory days.
The FIFA coordinator and founder of Professional Footballers Association of Ghana insist the appointments of Ex-players to fill the technical direction of the Black Stars are an indication we can handle our own affairs.
The Ghana Football Association reappointed Kwesi Appiah as Coach of the Black Stars together with former players Ibrahim Tanko, Stephen Appiah, Richard Kingson and Maxwll Konadu. The team began training on Tuesday and Anthony Baffoe who was present at the training on Thursday is optimistic the technical team will succeed.
“It is good we have our own as technical members. All these guys are ex-players of the Black Stars team," Baffoe told pressmen on Thursday.
“They have played the game before and understand it as well; Appiah, Olele, Tanko and Maxwell understand the game very well.
“I pray they excel with the Black Stars team and I have lots of confidence in them.”
Ghana will play Ethiopia in the FCON 2019 qualifier on June 11 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
