Ex-Chelsea coach Wilkins: This is where Kante can improve...

Former Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins is convinced there's more to come from N'Golo Kante.

Kante won the PFA Player of the Year this week - and is on course to win his second Premier League title in a row.

Wilkins said: "I'm not sure what he runs on but he must plug himself in before the game because the energy he displays on a Saturday is phenomenal.

"If Kante showed a bit more personality towards his team-mates, started to be a bit more vocal on the field, started instructing players more, he could improve as far as that's concerned.

"His passing could improve over longer distances.

"But in saying that, he had as an 86 per cent pass completion rate this year so no-one can be too disappointed with that.

"He's given them a total different dimension.

"Nemanja Matic signed two years ago and he's been brilliant - but now they have two of them, playing at the top of their form.

"Matic has been good, he had a little dip halfway through the season, but again on Saturday against Tottenham showed what he's all about.

"The two of them, when they sit in front of the back three, they are rock solid.

"I think Kante has been a breath of fresh air.

"You saw what he did to Leicester earlier this season, they couldn't replace him."
