Ex-Ghana international Tony Baffoe advocates for more competition in the Black Stars squad

Former Ghana international defender Tony Baffoe says lack of competition for places in the Black Stars has contributed to the poor form of the team in recent games.

The Black Stars are on a four-game winless run and Baffoe believes this is because some of the players have become too comfortable in their roles.

“I think is about time he (Grant) creates competition in the team. I want to see the Black Stars team in 2006 which had massive competition,” Baffoe said in an interview on Class FM.

“It is important for other players to be given the chance to know what they are capable of doing.”

“That I believe will bring the sort of competition we want to see in the team.”
