Ex-Hearts defender Dan Quaye gives his take on growing Charles Taylor v Don Bortey debate

Former Hearts of Oak defender Dan Quaye has waved into the debate between Bernard Don Bortey and Charles Taylor and has stressed that it is impossible to compare the two greats.

The past week has seen football fans comparing the two players to decide who the best was during their playing days.

While everyone has their own opinion, Don Bortey is on record to have said that he was better than his ex-teammate Charles Taylor.

Giving his take on the debate, Dan Quaye who played with both players at Hearts of Oak says it is not right to compare the due.

He explains, “I don’t even understand why people do that debate because they both have their individual qualities. Charles Taylor is skillful than Don Bortey and when it comes to free-kicks too I can say Don Bortey is an expert. So it is very different”.

“You have to understand that Bon Bortey is a winger and Charles Taylor is a skimmer cum striker who can score goals and also come into midfield to cause damage. For me I can say that the two players are good with their own qualities”, Dan Quaye added.
