Ex-Hearts of Oak CEO Harry Zakour lauds Asante Kotoko's recruitment policy

Former Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer [CEO] Harry Zakour has lauded Asante Kotoko's recruitment policy.

The Porcupine Warriors have made some decent signings under Nana Yaw Amponsah, who is the CEO of the club.

According to him, arch-rivals Asante Kotoko are currently doing better in terms of recruitment than Hearts of Oak seeing them with all the best players in the league at the moment.

"When I look today and what is happening, I heard a player was suspended and If look at recruitment where Hearts is, it has gone down now", he said in an interview.

"If you look at Asante Kotoko their recruitment is doing well. They have a committee where they recruit", he added.

Kotoko have signed two foreign players from Brazil, Fabio Gama and Michael Vinicius to strengthen their squad for the 2020/21 season.

The team recently cashed in on former striker Kwame Poku who has joined Algerian side MC Algiers.

Poku was recruited from Division One side Nkoranza Warriors.

In recent times most top players in the domestic league tend to opt for Asante Kotoko instead of Hearts of Oak a trend that is still going.

Zakour during his stint with Hearts of Oak was able to assemble one of the best squads to win the CAF Champions League title and multiple Ghana Premier League titles. An achievement he credits to good recruitment.
