Former interim coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Michael Osei is on the verge of landing the Medeama SC coaching job according to reports.

Osei who saved Kotoko last season after then head coach David Duncan dropped the team to relegation zone after 6 games, was earlier linked to Ashanti Gold but is in the frontline to secure the top job at Medeama.

Medeama are in search of a new Coach following the Club’s patchy run in the Ghana Premier League.

According to Ghanasportsonline.com, the Takwa-based Club is likely to appoint the former New Edubiase assistant trainer to replace Technical Director Evans Adotey who is currently serving as a stop-gap Coach.

The ex-Kotoko defender who is yet to officially resign from the Porcupine Warriors after serving as the deputy Coach is among top favorites to secure the position at Medeama.

The 2014 MTN FA Cup winner was relieved off his duties at Kotoko after the appointment of Croatian Coach Zdravsko Lugarosic.

He played a key role in helping Kotoko clinch the double three seasons ago.
