Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako has lamented on his inability to win the CAF Champions League title with the club.

Amoako, 38, had a successful 10 year-stint with the former African champions.

He joined them in 2007 from then elite-league side BA United after excelling in the club’s maiden top-flight campaign.

Speaking to Koforidua-based Aben FM, the former shot stopper expressed worry about his inability to help the two-time African Champions win the Champions League but has promised to win it with the club as a coach one day.

“During my spell with Kotoko I won 4 leagues titles, 6 FA Cups and others but what hurts me is my inability to help the club win the Champions League. most is not winning Africa”

“Our best in the Champions League was money zone but I hope I can win Africa with Kotoko since am still into football. I will go back to the club in the capacity as a coach and achieve that dream” he said.

Amoako moved to Dreams after leaving Kotoko but is now retired.

The shot-stopper make the Black Stars couple of times during his time at Kotoko but was a regular when the home-based team was introduced.
