Former Asante Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed is backing the team to beat Kariobangi Sharks in their game on Saturday.

The Porcupine Warriors are in Kenya to take on the Kenyan side at the Kasarani Stadium in a CAF Confederation Cup game.

Coach CK Akunnor and his side has put in a lot in terms of preparations and will be hoping to get a good result.

Dauda, a former player of the team who now plays his club football at Belgian side Anderlecht believes the current team has what it takes to get a good result in Kenya.

"The players should be mindful that, Kotoko SC is the club they are representing as the supporters are expecting from them and give all out".

"The fans will be proud of Kotoko should they eliminate Kariobangi Sharks and qualify to the money zone", he added.

The return leg will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium on December 22.
