2021 AFCON qualifiers: Ex-Kotoko striker Kwame Poku leads Ghana's attack to face South Africa

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Kwame Opoku is leading Ghana’s attack in the team to face South Africa this evening.

The Black Stars team is geared up for the battle today where they are set to face a tough test from the Bafana Bafana in the qualifiers to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Ahead of the kick-off at 16:00GMT, Ghana head coach CK Akonnor has named Kwame Opoku as the striker to lead the attack of the team.

The forward earned his debut call-up to the Black Stars last month having established himself as one of the best goal scorers in the Ghana Premier League while playing for Asante Kotoko.

Although he has moved on to sign for ES Setif in Algeria, Kwame Poku starts for Ghana having excelled as a home-based player.
