Former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has no doubts Philippe Coutinho could play for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
The Stoke City ace had left Anfield by the time Coutinho arrived.
Discussing Coutinho on the BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club, Adam revealed his admiration and said that he would fit in at any of the world's top clubs - including Barca and Real.
"I can see him playing for either," he said. "Playing against him, he is a wonderful technician, he sees everything differently compared to other players and his ability to go by people, you can see him going to play for them.
“It's going to cost a lot of money for them (if they want to sign Coutinho), I speak to (Stoke teammate) Glen Johnson about him and he says 'he's the best player by a country mile and can easily go and play for Barcelona or Real Madrid'."
