Veteran striker Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that he would be open to a return to the Premier League.
The former Manchester United star admitted that England's top flight held a special place in his heart in an interview with BBC Radio 5Live Sport, and said that he would relish the opportunity to help the young talent within the Premier League fulfil their potential using his wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Berbatov is currently a free agent after he was let go by Greek outfit PAOK Constantinopole in the summer and, despite being 35 years of age, the forward still believes he has plenty to give as he enters the twilight of his playing career.
He said: "When you've played in the Premier League you don't want to play anywhere else.
"In this stage of my career I know where I am - I would happily play for a team where they use my experience and my knowledge.
"I can help young players develop and make the team stronger. In the end it's all about helping the team play."

Berbatov has amassed a wealth of experience at both club and international level, with 589 club appearances spanning six teams across Europe and 78 caps for the Bulgarian national side.
Beginning his career in his homeland with CSKA Sofia, a two-year spell at Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen quickly followed before the 6'2 frontman achieved his dream move to England when Tottenham Hotspur acquired his services for £13m in July 2006.
After plundering 46 goals in just 102 appearances and winning the League Cup with the Lilywhites, Berbatov was signed for £32m by Manchester United on transfer deadline day in 2008 - a move that saw him notch 56 goals in 149 appearances, as well as two Premier League titles and an FA Cup winners' medal.
Moves to Fulham and French outfit Monaco followed in the intervening years before Berabtov joined PAOK in September 2015, but, after registering just five goals in 25 games, was released on July 1.
